This exhibition retraces the deep and intense friendship that developed over more than twenty years between the English painter Francis Bacon and the American photographer Peter Beard, revealing a fruitful artistic dialogue. Both subject and fertile source of inspiration for one another, the two men constantly influenced each other. The exhibition also explores their shared passions, particularly for African wildlife.
All the works presented in this exhibition – photographs, paintings, engravings, correspondence and other working documents – come from the MB Art Collection, the personal collection of the founder of the Francis Bacon MB Art Foundation, Majid Boustany.
