BACON ET LE LOUVRE

Au cours de ses nombreuses visites au musée, Bacon admirait principalement les œuvres allant des Antiquités égyptiennes à la peinture française en passant par l’Art grec archaïque, la peinture italienne, la peinture espagnole et la peinture hollandaise. Certaines d’entre-elles furent d’ailleurs des sources d’inspiration pour ses propres toiles.
